Watching Day Turn to Night
Either too much time is spent inside or weather conditions just do not typically permit days like this to be seen by the common soul.  A chance step outside your door can always end with pleasant surprises.  It took me a second to catch my breath before the sight in front of me.     The sky was the most perfect mixture of taffy blue and bubblegum pink.  The mix was as close to a 50/50 split...

Generation X lost their hearts.  People started staying inside in fear of what’s outside.  We lost that fight after failing to mount a strong defense.  Now the darkness runs the streets.  And the human race lost that brotherly love for all times.  And such was the tragedy sung by so many in old rock songs.  Each generation has a different meaning of what the decline of our people is....

My encounter with the burglar
Someone attempted breaking into my house.  And as chance would have it I hadn’t yet lost my senses to sleep.  I was wide awake, as a board is stiff you might say.  There arose such a clatter along with a shadowy figure at my doorstep.  Like Death, he forgets to knock.  I rise and look at him through the glassdoor, synapses firing in all the wrong directions.  Do I go for pants or a weapon?...

is facebook subliminal,liminal,or superliminal?
As I was staring at my news feed quite empty-mindedly,I noticed a trend. businesses love to post their product over and over. So many various pinkberry creations floated on by,but each with the same basic message. Doesn’t it look good? It is good. Go eat it. And it reminded me of course of this invader zim episode, where the twits of the future are so susceptible to influences that it takes so...

Old photos
A photograph was once the physical manifestation of a memory, that sole ink & paper entity was all that stood between forgetting and remembering. Memories are digital now though. We no longer soak in the colors of the worn photo,we worship our memories stored in bytes and pixels. There’s no sanctity in printing out these pixels onto paper and calling it a photo. There’s an infinite amount of...

The Price of Vanity
Women have sold their soul to be competitive in the workplace. They’ve been taught that their looks are the only thing they have to offer to the world. No one has told them it’s not important anymore. They’ve forgotten that saturated thing in which they see in the mirror isn’t real. And women have the nerve to subjugate others to the same insecurities they have. ...

Time Enough at Last
Time drips from my fingertips and I don’t know where to go. Cataclysmic catastrophies follow me. This perpetual cycle will show. I go to school everyday to become something I’m not. I work to earn pay. weird how its required to stay alive. Reality was rather weary. I can fight with every bodily breath I can die for Something. but tell me what is real. I let the deus...

Waking up
In my dream I come Alive. The real nightmare is when I wake up, More terrifying than falling off the high dive. See I’m rather ready to drown with a faint ‘gulp ‘gulp. I don’t fear death. I fear life. I ask ‘who am i’ with my first waking breath Awaking puts me back in the terrible reality of this strife. I am but a robot. No real ambitions or...

Teenage girl
Girls have an extra appendage Not where you think Its plain in sight Infact its all they can see. Be kind to the young ones They have a disability It cripples them so much that they don’t even know. Its why they can’t work Its why they can’t mature They think its how someone cares for them. This inseparable appendage evolved quite slow How natural...

'til it's gone
Michael Jackson Once dispised ignored Life is only precious in death Stars shine only to be seen But their light is ridiculed and ignored Til their death does life become precious Stars cease to be seen Not a kind word or thought is spared Not Til they die is their light once again admired Oh how he will be missed, a legend has passed Stars spend their life emitting light Until...

The good things in life are free
I’m watching a man from far away as I see him inconspicuously lean down to brush his hand on the grass.  I see the embarassment in him.  He doesn’t need to give me an excuse for his actions though because I fully understand him.      I in turn ask myself when was the last time I felt the grass?  With each blade slicing my flesh distincly.  How long have I gone with the flow that I...

the bedbugs
My nightmares are atypical. Others awake just before any harm comes to them. Their fear builds from what could happen to them. However, I sleep right on through a prolonged death in most of my nightmares. I don’t awaken in a sweat right before my demise.  Only in the clarity of sleep can I see what awaits me on the other side.         Most recently, I was speeding around a curvy...

Once upon a time
….Everybody has a story that makes up the foundation of who theyare. That story is comprised of their time spent as a child. Being able to say where you come from and who you are is dependent on being able to tell the story of your childhood. ….My life is an enigma to me, as I have no story to tell. To be clear, my story is being concealed from me, for some seem to feel it is not...
